Holy monkeys, I'm excited!!! Ducks won one, barely, but the Sabres win 6-0!!!!! Yikes, that's awesome! Makes a girl proud. Hopefully that was enough of a moral boost to keep them going in that right direction. We'll see about the Ducks....just not looking so good. I'm keepin my faith, it's gotta be just a slow start.
In other stuff....Dave and I went to see this man...
on Wed. Freaking amazing! He talked for 3 hours, and I have to say, I think it was probabbly the best 3 hours of my life. Seriously, I love him. Really. It was very surreal to sit there and listen to him talk, and realize that it's really him, in the flesh, right there in front of me. And...he really is shorter than you'd think. (If you don't know who that is, it's Henry Rollins...look him up, read one of his books, watch one of his spoken word DVD's, listen to some old Black Flag or Rollins Band....he's one of the greats. I'd personally recommend reading something of his, something like Get In The Van, or Black Coffee Blues....but I'm a reader!)
What universe are we in?!? Seriously, the Ducks and the Sabres both need to get there shite together already. I know, it's early, it's early...but still. I guess I was just really hoping to see a repeat of last year's beginning, for both of my teams. The Sabres were so aggressive last year, I hope to see some more of that again this year. They seem to have their moments, but it's just not the same! And I'm really hoping that the Ducks are just worn out from traveling, and will pick up some momentum in Wed.'s game. *finger's crossed*
Enough, I'm going to catch up on some old MAKE:blog postings and drink my caramel drizzle coffee with caramel vanilla flavored creamer and caramel Bailey's.....god, I hate caramel.
Dave told me I should do this, and since he is my husband, I figured I'd better do as I'm told, or else.....so here I am. This is all about hockey, so I'll start out by saying, I am a Ducks fan. I love that Giguere! I'm also a Sabres fan, kinda by default, since that's who Dave's into, and I gotta be supportive, right??? So that means last night was a bust on both counts. Oh well, it's still early. The site seems cool so far, I'm off to join some groups or something.
