Well, if you read my profile you know I am a huge Dayton Bombers (ECHL) fan. Well, they had three home games this weekend. I went Friday and Sat. and stayed home on Sunday to watch the Blue Jackets.
The Bombers won on Friday beating the Johnstown Chiefs 5-3. The Bombers were up 5-0 after two but kind of fell off in the 3rd but they still won.
On Sat. the Bombers didn't look too good in the first two periods. However, the third was different and historic!! Chanse Fitzpatrick (#15) scored 5 goals in one period. 4 of the 5 were on the PP. He is the first player ever to score 5 goals in one period in professional hockey. A couple of players (ex. Mario L. #66) scored 4 in one period in the NHL. I was in the second row behind the net to watch this. It was unbelievable and by the expression on Fitzpatrick's face he couldn't believe it either. The Bombers came back from 0-1 to win 5-1!
On Sunday the Bombers beat the Cincinnati Cyclowns 3-2. The winning goal was scored by Christie (#24) with 42 seconds remaining in the third!
So it was a 6 point weekend for the Bombers! WHOO-HOOO!
Now the Blue Jackets have been playing great under Ken Hitchcock. And Pascal Leclaire has been amazing. He recorded his 5th shutout in the season against the St. Louis Blues. The defense has really stepped up also. Leclaire only faced 6 shots together in periods 1 and 3. He stopped 15 in the second period. I do not believe this is a fluke like previous Blue Jackets team. This years team goes out there and plays business like. It is great to watch!
GO BOMBERS and BLUE JACKETS!!

I 100% agree. this team is working. they're pushing themselves and not letting up off the puck, even when their winning by alot. i love it.
