It has been forever since I have been here. Sorry. I have been somewhat busy, and the fact that there isn't much for activity on this site yet, well, it makes it hard for me to want to spend much time on it when I do have the time to sit here in front of the computer. Don't get me wrong, I love the site and still have a ton of faith in it. Just needs to be a bit more activity is all.
Sabres have been stinking up every sheet of ice they skate. I wish I could say do this or do that and things should be better. Fact is, the team as a whole is terrible right now. I have no idea what they are thinking. I am tired of the Briere and Drury b.s. I think that this team has almost every ounce of tallent they have had for the last few years. It should be win after win. Yet here we are losing night after night. I feel sorry for Lindy Ruff. He will eventually be fired at this rate. It seems as if his team has turned their back on him. Not that it is a surprise. Remember they did the same thing in the playoffs last year and it cost them a shot at the cup and almost cost them in every round. Oh well, all in all, I love the Sabres and will stand by them through the bad just the same.
Nothing else in my personal world to chat on right now. Things are well, I have no complaints. Hope everyone is well and good. I'm off like a bra.

Buffalo plays Washington tonight. This should be a really good game. I think the Caps are in an interesting place right now. Some amazing young talent and some really good veteren guys. Kolzig somehow still has some great games in him. He used to be one of the best, and I think he will surprise people with the young guys in front of him giving him a shot of life in net. They are 3-1 this year. I think we (Buffalo) will have our work cut out for us tonight. We got a nice win in Atlanta the other night, but Atlanta was horrible too. Let's see how we match up against a good team now that we are feeling a bit better about our playing.
Also, my pal Ed on here posted a picture of his Sabres tattoo, so I thought it was time for me to post mine as well. So check them out. They are on my side/ribs, both a bit bigger than the size of a puck. I have every intention of adding the new logo to this collection one of these days. I have to wait though. Last year I was going to have it done, but got a few other tattoos done. Usualy my wife and I try and take turns getting tattoos, and the last 3 I got skipped her. So I wait.
So on to the part of the blog where I got to talk about myself. Awesome. Well How about some of my likes other than hockey since we just talked tattoos. I love tattoos. I need more. I love them on others as well. I could live in a tattoo shop. The buzz of the needle, smell of the ink, there isn't much better than that. Aside from tattoos, I like movies. Mostly horror or 'B' films. We have not had our TV/cable/satalite hooked up in like 3 years here. We watch movies and have a heck of a collection. I also love music. I love it all from listening to playing to recording to producing. I have not been too into the whloe thing as of recent years as much as I was, but that doesn't mean I don't love it. I also love mowing the yard. SOunds stupid, I know, but there is something very relaxing about riding around on a mower for a few hours, smell of the freshly mowed grass. Ugh, I don't know what else. I guess I don't like very much. Well I like things, but am easily annoyed, so it seems like I don't like them when I do deep down. Like my dogs. I love them and I love animals in general, but they annoy me to such an extent that I sometimes forget that I really like them. Ok I am sitting here blank, so I will leave this blog as it is.

So you may be asking yourself, "Why is this entry titled 'ShelledWalnuts'?" I will be sure and let you know that here eventually. First we shall start with some hockey talk. Buffalo plays Atlanta today. I really really really really hope we get a win out of this. Atlanta is a good team, but nothing the Sabres shouldn't be able to deal with. I say that in the same week that we had our butts handed to us by the Islanders....and they pretty much suck. So let's hope we find ourselves a way to win not only this game, but some confidence and momentum.
Still thinking about those shelled walnuts? Good. Now the second part of my entry. I think that we are all still very new here and I will tell more about myself like I did in my last entry. As you can see, I am a fan of myself. Not to say I am not a fan of others, because I am a fan of other people as well. That isn't the point though...or yet. I am somewhat selfish. I think we all are. Just some of us can admit to it and most times not be a jerk about it, and most of us (this 'us' being most of everyone else other than me) can not. I am rather out spoken, if noone has noticed yet. The last thing I worry about when I speak, write, or whatever, is how it might make another person feel. I am not out to intentionally hurt someone, or attack them or the way that they are. I am just very opinionated, and say it like it is, or how I see it. This in no way makes it right, makes me any sort of authority on anything or anyone, or anything....or any one thing....ouch. It just is. Right or wrong, hypocritical or rude....I don't much care. It just is. I have no or very few real friends to prove this self realization. Ask any one of my enemies and they will be sure and tell you all about the a hole that I am. Ok, so there you have yet another angle into the person that I am. Next.
I know, I know, shelled walnuts...the suspense must be killing you. I promise it wont be much longer now. First I need to go back to where I wrote something up there about Not only being a fan of myself, but being a fan of others. Today I would like to share with you, a person that I am and always have been a huge fan of. A person that after seeing him last night, I am an even bigger fan of now! Henry Rollins. What a cool cat this guy is. He was so funny, real, and just plain excellent. The wife and me saw him in Cincinnati last night on his spoken word tour. Easily one of the best things I have ever seen in my time. Easily one of the coolest people I have ever listened to in my life. I have seen and meet a lot of people from nobody to the most famous of celebrity, and he is by far one of the greatest humans to ever set foot on this planet. If anyone ever has a chance to see him in person, DO IT! For thos of you who have no clue who he is, go buy one of his DVD's, read one of his many books, and download some of his music starting with early Black Flag all the way to the last Rollins Band record.
And now what you have all been axiously awaiting. Shelled Walnuts. An explaination. A rhyme. A reason. What would the purpose of using Shelled Walnuts as a title to a blog entry on a hockey site where the blog with the said title has little to do with hockey and nothing to do with shelled walnuts?!!! Well here it is. Shelled Walnuts are made and able to be purchased by a company called Diamond Foods Inc. They have a web address at diamondfoods.com and they are out of Stockton, CA. One of the ways you can purchase these shelled walnuts is in a can that serves approx. 15. 4 cops of shelled walnuts. Usually purchased with the intent to back something. Ok ok to the point. Again, you few loyal readers made it this far and demand an answer as to why I would title this entry shelled walnuts right!? Right! So here it is. I think they are good to eat. You heard it here first folks. Now that was so worth the wait and build up, wasn't it!? Now raise some hell!
Well I think I am rather comfortable with this site now. What I am not comfortable with is the Sabres 0-2 start. What is going on with that crap? I know I know, we lost some pretty good guys during the off season, but we have more than enough talent to roll over just about everyone and to lose a home-n-home series to the Islanders is awful. Oh well, they just better get it together quick. We didn't win the Presidents trophy by losing games.
Anyway, so the other half of life, that is bloging about things other than hockey at a hockey site, things are well. A brief window into who I am for anyone who may for some odd reason be interested. I am a very happily married, proud father of one. I have lived in Kentucky for almost 6 years now. We moved here from the Chicagoland area. My daughter, Lyric, is the best and worst thing to ever happen to me. I mean worst, because anyone with kids knows that they can really push you over some edges sometimes. Don't get me wrong, compaired to other kids I see, she is a saint. By best, well, that should be self explainatory. Let me also say now, I am not much of a speller, and I do not waste time on proof reading and spell checks. I am as truthful as possible, and say/type what I think or feel, and leave it that way. Corrections take the honesty and life out of anything ever written. I also tend to go all over the place as I have already once in this section of the blog. Speaking of all over the place, I also used to play in a band. Well, many bands, but the one that was most successful was a band called Showoff. We played together for about 4 years before I quit. We toured all over the place during that time. Put out one major label album, recorded another that will never see a proper release, and a slew of demos, and self released stuff. What else about me? I love tattoos. Mine, getting more, and on others. In fact I even have two Sabres tattoos and more to come. My wife (who is also on this site, so go find her, she is cooler than me) has a bunch as well. Hot girls with tattoos is a major addiction for me. Good thing I married one! I love horror movies, and cheese 'B' films. If you have seen anything from Troma, then you know what I speak of.
Ok, this has gotten too long. I will leave you all with this for now. I am going to attempt to get more people to this site. I think it is and will be an awesome place to be while online. We need more activity though. I hope to see blogs, groups, and comments really start to come to life. I will try and do my part. I look forward to knowing you all better. Until next time, I'm off like a bra.
I am new to this site and just trying to figure it all out. Looks like it could be fun. Time will tell. I look forward to finding people to befriend here.
