    2 without Hanlon = 2 wins

So maybe it's more than coincidence that my Caps have won two straight, not to mention their first two, after the "release" of Glen Hanlon as head coach in their worst start in 26 years. Welcome home, Boudreau. So we went from five straight losses to two straight wins with the turn of ‘a new page' as Ovechkin so delicately put it.

Now, certainly the dominating wins over the Flyers and the Hurricanes could have been flukes. Just as the Caps' 3-0 start to the season was. It's definitely not hard to make a winning argument from that standpoint as well. Some say these wins were over ‘great teams' meaning something has really changed already. Oh, the miracle of Bruce Boudreau, right? Maybe wrong. You have to consider that the Caps are dead last in the league and any addition to the win column for them is in fact an upset. Plus, comparatively, any team is a ‘great team' next to Washington on paper.

We'll all make our own assumptions, and I don't know which is true since Boudreau's Hershey Bears have been slightly kicking the bucket this season. All I know is that I'm still staying hopeful and sticking by O.V. and Kolzig allllllll the way!!
